Good Bye Public Speaking!
I met my goals for this class of Public Speaking. I wanted to learn how to speak better in front of crowds and learn how to create and write better speeches. The class ranged from creating our own speeches to portraying another character and by doing this we learned how to not just portray what we wanted to say, but what someone else had said. What gave me most success was being able to memorize my speeches quickly. This allowed me to finish my speech early in class and then be able to work on the next speech and outline what I was going to do next. I am most proud of the structures of my speeches. I believe I wrote them very well and came up with interesting topics with each assignment. I need to work on the way I deliver my speeches. sometimes my eyes wonder or I mess up with what I say, also Sometimes I move around to much which will make me look nervous. The biggest thing I will take away from this class is how to structure a good speech and how to use pathos, ethos, and logos to make speeches more interesting and credible. Also, I will miss the candy.

How to Make My Ted Talk Better
My Ted Talk right now is a little disorganized. I have notes of what I am going to say during it and what images I am going to use, but it is not yet laid out as neatly or as organized as I would like. I need to go through the notes and organize them into paragraphs and add breaks where I will explain either the photo, a quote, or a photographer.
Once I have done that I need to carefully read through my speech and make sure it a) makes sense and b) everything flows. With this, I also need to add more to the part about myself as a photographer to help establish more credibility. Also, I need to find photos that I have taken to show throughout the talk. I am not sure yet if it would be better to do a slide show where each image is its own slide or if I could do a movie and have photos just run throughout it.
When I talk about documentaries I am going to add the question, "Who here has ever cried while watching a documentary or a film based on a true story?" BY doing this I will draw in the attention of the audience and this will then lead me to a smooth transition into talking about how documentations give people a voice and how they do that by making people feel something.
For my conclusion I need to decide what my takeaway should be whether it is my thesis or something else. I think my thesis is strong, but I need to find a way to add to my conclusion without sounding repetitive. I think I will add more photos to the end as a montage, but I need to figure out a stronger ending with more meaning to make the viewers feel something.
The photos I add with vary from landscape to portraits and abstract to help attract attention and by mixing the types of images it helps maintain attention and many people get fascinated by what photographers can do.
